Scapex

Current level editor favourite no doubt. Just as easy as good old StarEdit and five times as pretty. Grab the ground and pull it up or down to change it, texture by drawing with textures. Sprinkle with trees, buildings, rocks and other decorations and you'll soon come up with something so good looking you just sit and find new pretty angles to look at it from. And every angle is a pretty one too ... Playing with Scapex is like playing with Lego or some other toys, only better since you never run out of the pieces and figures you need. The only thing I lack is being able to strafe with the camera ... Don't think I'll get anything constructive written here this way, but at least I can convey how Scapex has caught my imagination and interest. The trigger system seems to be as good as StarEdit's too, that's very promising too ...

Was nice to find the manual was written when both the game and Scapex was so finished that a Scapex instruction could be included as well. That investment in a freelance manual writer was worth it! But why confuse people by writing nnt instead of entity? Don't thing everyone would be sure of the word entity either ... Suppose they assume everyone interested in level editing knows their entities by first name, maybe it's true, what do I know ...
