Speed Ballads sounds luxurious, expensive, sort of. A bit the same feeling you can get from Need For Speed II SE, a feel of costly polish and glamour. It's one of those records where there are no sharp or disturbing sounds, and you feel that this type of sound is what CDs are made for. In other words, it sounds good, and some songs actually stick quite easily. But I can't help feeling that a song named Faster Faster should start slow and then gradually increase its tempo. And that photo inside the booklet should have been on the cover instead, it would have looked cooler ...
