My first successful attempt at an own adaption of Tux. Hand drawn in Photoshop (yeah, I know, it should be GIMP. I'll get to that some day ...) with airbrush touch-ups.
The logotype is definitely another major advantage of Linux over, just for example, Windows. It's logotypes like Tux that you want to see on banners covering skyscrapers, the fact that he represents a free OS playing no small part in it of course. It's logotypes like Tux that you want to and feel good about creating your own version of, so I did (oh, and tell me, how many nice variations can you do of an ugly flag anyway?). And I warn you, there may be more coming up :-) ...
Seeing Tux makes me want to use Linux. Heck, seeing penguins makes me want to. Tell me, how much more successful can a logo get?
