Today was the first day of my trainee-week. Every twelfth grade science student is supposed to be out "in real life" as a trainee this week, but school takes no responsibility for it. I find that a bit strange, considering the trainee week is a must to get your marks when you graduate. Anyway, I'm doing my week at an architect firm, and I like it. I've already broken a folding rule and dropped a full pencil sharpener on the floor, spreading the contents liberally over the immediate surroundings. Apart from that, I don't think I'm doing too bad, my time has been spent turning the lunch-room into an apartment (on the paper, that is). Not all that easy, but fun nevertheless.

Getting there in the morning was another matter however. All bus drivers are on strike, so I had to go by bike. But my brother had managed to borrow my bike and jam the chain in a particularly nasty way some time ago. So, I had to borrow my father's bike. To make me feel even better, the weather had teamed up with the bus drivers to make everyone on anything bikelike around 7.30 feel miserable. All the way, I had the cold wind and rain in my face, making me look like I'd just left the shower for the rest of the day. Tomorrow, I'll bring a hairbrush ...
