It took us 15 months, my brother got it for his birthday last year, but yesterday we finally played Junta for the first time. Good thing I didn't manage to convince the others that we should have played Risk, Junta was just as good as you'd expect from a game described as "easily the most Machiavellian co-operation game ever invented". Negotiations and politics always seem to add to games, don't they? The game takes place in La Republica de los Bananas, and the goal is to be the one who collects the most money in his Swiss bank account. Don't worry for, as Petter put it, "The worst thing that might happen is that you get shot". And if that happens, you'll be back at the beginning of the next turn. Wish it was like that in real life too ...
