15/7
Today's date is, according to page 30 of Nerikes Allehanda, Thursday 15 of December. Time flies, doesn't it ...
Finally got my hands on the next book of the Wheel of Time yesterday. There is something very nice about starting another four hundred page book, knowing that you are at most somewhere halfway through the story, that at least a few thousand pages remain before you'll know what the end is like. I wonder if mr Jordan has everything planned out beforehand or if he makes all the sidetracks up as he goes along? After all, the story isn't even half as full of clues for coming attractions as the Belgariad is. And what kind of end will he give the story, I can't really see what kind of end wouldn't feel like an anticlimax. Another question: what will Jordan do if/when he finishes the Wheel of Time? Write a sequel? The Wheel of Time seems like quite a dificult piece to top off with something else ... Come to think of it, who says he'll actually finish it at all? Perhaps it will go on for the rest of his life, and then, if we're lucky enough, some prepared last book will be released after Jordan's death. At least we'll get a lot of reading out of the story ...
On the schedule for the immediate future: try to finish Myth II (now, there's a world with a good feeling to it!) and try and write a bit more on that idea I've got ...
