So much time, but so little has been written ...

A short winter has passed, a lot of snow fell on Monday and most of it is gone by now. With seldom-seen timing, my mother and sister made gingerbread during that period. Snow outside and the whole house smelling of gingerbread, can it possibly get any more christmaslike? Cosy, to say the least ...

Actually, I got some writing done. I got moving a bit on an old idea, a few lines here and there for different chapters. Maybe if I can get the basics written down it'll be easier to fill in the rest. Then, of course, something else crossed my mind and caught my attention. It turned up among the drawings I do in school (boy, I've soon had it for a while with bunny-filled landscapes ...), sometime before lunch and refused to go away. What I got was a cool idea for an Unreal level. That meant I spent some time getting Unrealed going again, uninstalling and reinstalling older patches. In the new spirit of actually getting something done however, it's moved very far toward becoming a finished map. All the basic architecture is in place, and I've managed to avoid digging into details and eyecandy too early. Must be a good sign that, with luck I'll even get back to my story after I've finished the map ... Creativity is a difficult thing to tame ;-) ...

Can't believe there is still ink in this pen! I've soon been drawing using it for two weeks non stop (okay, a little bit less perhaps ...), maybe I should bring another one as backup tomorrow ...

Ah, Kent and an open window! I've said it before, but that was some time ago so I'll say it again; it's a great combination. Especially with the night-time darkness thrown in for good measure (I seem to recall saying that before too ...).

Oh well, the clock is set for 07:00, better get around to getting some sleep soon, there wasn't enough of it last night. Ah heck, it'll be weekend soon anyway ...

Yes, I'm about to go to sleep, just thought I'd write this thought down. The thought's this: I should really keep something to write on and with handy more often. Preferably all the time ... I remember lots of times when I've had cool ideas that I can't remember since I couldn't write them down somewhere. Ought to get a palmtop or something ... Or perhaps just a mind-recorder ...

Well, good night (take two)...
