Everything comes to an end sooner or later, even a haircut (see the hair-page for further info) ... It's strange, but it really doesn't feel as strange as you might think to suddenly lose an amount of hair equal to a small dog. The strangest bit is that it ends too soon when you wash or comb it. And it's still a bit of a surprise each time I see myself in the mirror ... Can't wait to see the faces of everyone on new-year's eve ...

Just saw Nightmare Before Christmas, what a cool movie! In style, it made me think, of course, of Burton's other creations, but also of Grim Fandango. Perhaps that's unavoidable as both features doll-like, skeletal-looking characters, but it really isn't a bad thing. Knowing that the Nightmare's made with puppets and not computers made me think "how did they do that?" all the time and be extremely impressed by the animation and attention to detail. Long live good old puppet animation!

It's amazing how much difference there is between the first time you listen to a record and the second or third time. My brother observed that those records you find really good the first time usually aren't the ones you'll keep listening to until the end of time (using my own words here ...), and I fully agree with that. Realy depth in a song, which make the song long-lasting, takes time to discover. A song without depth is easily absorbed, and you will like it for what it is. However, after a few listenings, you'll realize that what the song is isn't very much and that it can't give you anything new anymore. There must be something new to discover after the third listening too, otherwise the CD will soon do nothing but collect dust on the shelf. The above should mean that those records/songs you take the longest to figure out are the ones you'll like the best in the long run. I think there's a lot to that to, as long as you give the record/song enough serious chances and don't throw it away after suffering through it the first and only time.

Listening good takes its man too ...

Now I'm starting to see things move in the corner of my eye, time to go to bed!
