Things have happened since my last entry.

Almost a month of things actually ...

Not the least important of those is that I've actually got an internet connection going. Finally! No, the wait wasn't as hard as one could have imagined, but that doesn't mean I'm glad it's over. Now Bonnie and I can play around with webcams and stuff again. Fun to have both cams updating on the same page ...

Seems I haven't quite found the optimal way of connecting the ADSL modem in this apartment yet, the connection still breaks when the phone rings. Even though I connected it to the same jack on top of the ADSL connector, odd ... Maybe there's too much cord between splitter and jack or something, I'll try around a bit after I finish downloading this ...

This is, at the moment, Debian CD images. Don't ask me what exactly I'm going to use them for, no one has all the answers :-) ...

Have started and also pretty much finished the first project (or part one of a 2-part project if you want to see it that way) on the web technology course as well, a task involving ASP and COM objects that didn't feel half as difficult as a certain project we've recently gone through :-) ... We worked in two person groups, and because of incidental poistioning in the classroom when the project was introduced to us I ended up forming a group with Maria, which turned out to be an excellent situation. Not only did we have a lot of fun working together, we also got done on time (it wasn't a definitive deadline, just a recommended one) without sitting to the middle of the night the last possible day :-) ... Now we can use the remaining time until the next part of the project begins (about two weeks I think) to add some documentation and any other things we might discover are needed. Feels very good. Hopefully I can motivate myself to try and experiment a little with (a copy of) the project and see if I can make improvements, there are some things we don't find absolutely required, that might take a good deal of work, or at least some re-thinking, but that would be really nice to have. I really want to get around to trying them, they may actually be quite easy ...

Trying, yes, but not tonight anyway! Some chatting, updating of this and a regularly interrupted download of Debian is enough excitement for tonight. I must be getting old or something ...
