Way too long ...
Actually so long that now when I looked at this again, it felt like "nah, it's too much work" so much that I almost closed Opera again and did something else. In fact, don't expect this update to be uploaded today either, I'm still without connection. So, the main headline is of course that I've moved to a place of my own (any instances affected by this have been notified). A quite slow and extended move, stretching over one full week before I actually moved over. A main reason for this pace is that the last few weeks are among the most schoolwork intensive ever, and that's why it took almost another full week before I got much at all unpacked. Okay then, you get one external, but just one dammit! It's Infogrator, the company that held the final course of the term, the software development project, that has been so all-consuming timewise. My group, and I with it of course, have spent at least eight hours per day in the school's computer classrooms, slowly hacking away at our somewhat haphazard classes, objects and references, with increasing frenzy and tiredness as the deadline approached. It might sound tiring, and it was. It might sound like a lot of hard work, and it was. It might sound terrible, but it wasn't. I've never felt more involved, motivated and challenged (that really feels like a fitting word here, it was a challenge) by a school assignment, especially not by anything on this course. Apart from this project it has all been a rather relaxed and disjoined affair, it could have used more motivation like this. On the other hand, I certainly wouldn't have liked the whole course to consume my time like this :-) ... My other computer changed in fun factor pretty rapidly after my last diary entry, from nice to an ongoing challenge. Now I know that the motherboard's dead, and that it's taken the graphics card with it, but it took a paid error search to find out. The warranty should cover properly, but so far it hasn't been as fun as I expected to get an additional computer. Oh well, it'll be okay ... Probably ... Someday ... Ah, and a very late happy new year to everyone. | ||||
