The radio news have humour! It came as a pleasant and very unexpected surprise to me today. The newsreader mentioned that Mariah Carey had been fired by her record company but would get close to 300 million crowns. Then he unexpectedly added that for a sum like that he would consider quitting too, but now he'd do it for free because the time for the newsreport was up. Just like that, I've never heard a comment even close to that on the radio news before, they're always just matter-of-factly telling you about events. Cool!

Still no internet connection for me around here yet, but I seem to be pulling by anyway. Have spent some time today doing ASP exercises, but not as much as I intended. ASP is what goes for schoolwork right now, which of course feels completely okay with me.

Always strange feeling to get to learn something you find interesting and pretty easy in school ...

And get more and more schoolbooks you'd actually find interesting even if they weren't required reading to pass the course. It's good to feel you're in the right subject.

So, because of the above, I've got one of those dreaded Microsoft web servers installed. Not that I consider opening things up to hacking or publishing directly from this computer or anything, but still it feels a bit insecure somehow :-) ...

Finally got around to setting up the stereo as well, in a convenient but not too nice position (so much so that I think of the setup as temporary, but I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get around to finding a nicer looking way of doing it :-). So, now all the boxes (except two that will be long-time stored in the store room in the basement) are actually unpacked. Some of the contents of two suitcases (clothes, sheets and towels) still wait for being unpacked, but that doesn't feel as pressing. It actually looks like someone lives here!

That's not to say things can't look more homely, things still need some more sorting out. Especially in the kitchen, it needs some additional stuff to look like it's actually being used regularly (and the microwave needs to move away from the table of course :-).

Tomorrow we're going to meet up and fix the complaints we got about our project, then we can hopefully leave it behind completely, will be nice. Just realized that the official line is that you've got a week to fix complaints on the project, and we're starting to fix on the Thursday of that week. Let's hope the problems don't get bigger than expected :-) ...

A phonecall last night made my evening golden, thank you!
