Yeah! I did it! Went through the second and final exam of this term of business economy today. Felt pretty good after the weekend's looks at previous exams, and have never been more relaxed before an exam for sure. Ended a day of much Illuminati with some Myth: the Fallen Lords, and went to bed thinking lots more about those things (and one special person I'll meet soon as well :-) than the exam or its subjects. Getting up and to the exam today brought some bad signs with it however, apart from the usual slight nervousness. Because yesterday was a holiday I never got around to getting anything near the usual amount of sugar-rich nourishments and had to do with one mint chocolate bar. (Henrik was even cooler with just a bottle of water) Even more foreboding was the fact that we were let into the exam room a bit late, because someone had appearantly just been ill inside of it ... That really didn't help the feeling in the stomach. They even carried out one table covered in tissues right before we were let in, ick ...

Once inside everything was just as usual though. The major difference during the test was the lack of sugar (combined with the traditionally sparse breakfast it made sure I didn't feel too energetic all through the day) and that the test itself felt like the most difficult and insecure so far. There wasn't much at all that I felt sure of, including and certainly not limited to the calculation questions. After a really low point about halfway (time-wise) through I started feeling a bit better, but nothing felt sure in the way of results as I walked out after about two and a half/three/something hours. Oh well, I thought, at least I would know my result pretty soon, probably before Friday.

While doing my last day of work for more than a month at Parkhallen the feelings about the test pretty much followed the standard loop. Low "Oh-damn-that-may-really-have-sucked"-thoughts countered by "Hey-it-can't-have-been-all-that-bad"-ones and so on. In spite of a strong intention to actually have a lunch break I left Parkhallen around four with my stomach still empty since the chocolate and with thoughts about the exam result clouding the feeling of holiday.

Arriving home and checking my mail revealed that the answer to my questions was in reach, they'd mailed out the exam answers already! Breathlessly, I opened the attachment (what's wrong with the message body for text anyway? Well, I see the point now that I've written that ...) and started checking my results. Good thing I'd kept the exam questions and remembered to note my answers as well ... Anyway, four questions on the first page. The first two correct. The second two wrong ... Scary start ...

Things proceeded in much the same way through the first section of the test, giving me 17 of 35 possible on that. Not good enough ... Section two made me feel better, 12 out of 15. That's the spirit! Third section, again 17 points. This time out of 20 though, yeah! This meant that I needed only seven points of 35 on the final section. That section was calculations though, and only five questions as well (even if most of them had several sub-questions) ... So, to cut a long story a little bit shorter, on the final section I scored (drumroll) 19 of 35! Goal! 65 of 105, passing 53 with a comfortable margin!

Now, I wonder if I managed to keep below the ten hours per week limit (lessons excluded)? The thing is that they said somewhere way back in January or so that someone just studying ten hours per week instead of 40 would have problems making it through the course. Hahaha (diabolical), take this, 40 hours per week! And that too!

;-)
