And so another weekend is coming to an end ...

Today was more cool boardgaming! Henrik brought over not only Flux, but also the boardgame version of Space Hulk. Having played the computer version first, I'm not sure which one that succesfully retains the mood of the other (if the board version had it, or if the computer version created most of it), but it did bring back fond memories of the computer game anyway. The computer version is a great example of how board games can succesfully be converted to computer games and gain lots in the process. It also struck me how faithful to the board game the computer game really is. Missed the sound of genestealer being mashed by storm bolters greatly :-) ...

Reading through the missions and background information, it strikes me how annoyingly stupid the whole idea of boarding ships like that really is. They even mention the option of just nuking the hulks to dust and explain why they chose against it. I would have been happier without that bit really, it's just too stupid ... I want the situation, not some silly explanation making the much more reasonable alternative blatantly obvious :-) ...

This computer is now positioned in my room for the second time ever. This time it'll probably be for longer than just over a weekend (like it was this Christmas). Still open to final positioning of things though, right now there's too little deskspace for keyboard and resting of arms in front of the monitor. Might try some more diagonal configuration, but feels like that could be awkward in the long run ... Well well, we'll see ... Time to finally bring back all the music where it belongs anyway ...

And check out the external. Loved the reading on Tesla as the greatest hacker ever! And that's just a little corner of the whole site ...

Damn, I hate when our ADSL modem loses the connection! Have made some nice connections from the first phone jack since the own line the modem previously had was diconnected. Just hope the source of the problem is the stupid connection I'm about to remove tomorrow rather than the cable itself ... Damn, it's got serious problems now, taking longer than usual it seems ... Come on!

Aha, don't suppose the fact that someone was using the phone also connected on the first jack had something to do with the problem :-) ... Well, now that's been taken care of, and the cables have been pulled a little nicer as well ... Feel good about myself :-) ...
