Problems with computers, in general, are never good. The question is: what kind of problem is the more annoying? The one you've caused and/or can fix yourself, or the one that's completely out of your control both in cause and solution? Right now I've got one problem of the second type. Even the modem lights report having a connection, but I sure as hell can't connect to anything outside my own computer ... It sure feels like I'd prefer some little problem wiht network settings or so compared to this, having to lay it all in the hands of the Connection Gods :-) ...
Otherwise today's been another splendid summer day, up to about 24 degrees in the shadow. Had to switch to shorts after the final stretch of biking home :-) ... And it's about time I switch my bike too, long overdue even! In the current situation I can use the four or five lowest gears, of 18, the other ones make the chain skip too much to be of any use at all ...
Oh I want my connection back! Now! It's not as if I'd be doing anything useful with it right now, but it's a matter of principle :-) ...
