It's 11:51, about one hour before the weeks chat with Bonnie, have ICQ up and running already, just in case :-) ... The land is covered in a light mist of rain, but birds are singing and it feels like spring all the way through. Life feels good, with the business economy as the mandatory dark cloud on the horizon :-) ... I've definitely had worse feeling springs!
Figured out the proper settings to get Sacrifice to work good online yesterday. Experienced quite a lot of problems before getting it right. For a while it would crash if I was online, in-game or just in the chat, and pressed the middle mouse button, not good :-)... Anyway, I got around the obstacles and have now spent good parts of two evenings getting my ass kicked in various directions (actually won the odd game as well, but that was an exception), I have so much to learn! Doesn't feel bad at all though (well, maybe a bit when I've just been soundly beaten ;-).
The question is: once Black & White is released, how much time will I have left for anything else? Gamespot is doing a week-long Black & White feature, and yesterday three of their staff described how they had acted when getting to test the game and train their creatures. Don't know if I'm oversensitive or anything, but I found it quite disturbing how two of them (the two male testers, not surprising really) had beaten the crap out of their creatures and really enjoyed it ... The female tester's ideas were much more along my lines, trying to bring up an individualistic, freedom liking creature without kicking it around all the time. That her ape became home-bound and was happy to just take care of small tasks and nothing else was just a side-effect ... Hehe, I want my creature to be nice and caring to my people, and quite a menace to everyone else's ... Definitely don't want to beat it all the time! Hmmm, wait a minute, I haven't even seen this game for real yet :-) ...
