Not feeling like engaging in anything even remotely taxing or concentration demanding, I settled for some mindless Driver speeding accompanied by good old Alternative Pet Shop Boys (the best thing I can remember right now about/from 1995!). Pretty nice combination, maybe Driver can be put to work like Lotus III? Mindless gaming to keep hands and eyes busy while the ears listen to music and the brain drifts elsewhere. Digging out an old double CD and finding you still recognize and enjoy every single song, what does that say about you? Says a bit about the record of course ... It's 21:02 and I feel like I should be going to bed soon. Not that I'm too tired, just the kind of feeling I reflexively get from knowing I'll be going to Parkhallen tomorrow. Don't have to be there before nine, but still get that feeling an early bedtime is required for some reason. Summer's making itself remembered ...

Shameless, one of those songs that sounds even better when you think of it. Kind of built into the whole concept of the song that it could do even better with a full 77000-piece orchestra set, huge background choires, thunderclaps and so on ... It was one of the first songs to stick seriously, but the others caught up, and even overtook, with time. A really good "serious" and deep song tends to outlast a funny, over-the-top one.

Have packed everything in my bag for tomorrow already, effectively making it feel like I can't do anything more on it tonight :-) ... Biggest problem is that Thursday evening feels a lot closer to next Wednesday than the Wednesday yesterday did ... Yesterday we weren't even half through this week, now it's almost Friday ... What the heck am I worrying about anyway? Like I had any real problems coming up to care about. Get serious!

Gee, this is one short 15 track CD. Only two songs left already. Good thing there's another one to throw in if the need arises. Still got Euroboy (most of it) and Some Speculation left to go before that. Time floats (not just away, a bit backwards as well) when listening to this ...
