Yesterday afternoon it felt like I didn't want to do anything at all. Sat down in front of the screen and felt annoying at how few fun things there were to do. So, I put my old idea that stepping away from the computer always gives ideas into practise. In a complete surprise move I cleaned up a bit in the mess that is every horizontal plane in this room, throwing away a year's worth of Ny Teknik in the process. By now I've even washed my trashcan. It's true! And the inside surprisingly smelt quite nice, like some kind of mint candy ...
Then I was back at the screen again for a while, still doing nothing useful but feeling better about it. Running a lap then removed the tiredness I'd been feeling all day, and after that I made good progress into The fellowship of the ring.
Today's been good too, in a game-geeky, unproductive sort of way. Got up quite early for an unplanned, lecture-free day and has spent much of it discovering the fun of Hostile Waters, pausing mainly for food processing and more of The fellowship. Surfing has been quite modest, and I'm completely happy about that as well.
I have read the Ring trilogy once or twice previously, but I've never enjoyed it nearly as much as I find myself doing this time (must be an age thing). The words just flow over the pages, for the eyes to engulf greedily. It's great to really get into a book again ...
The only bad thing is that I've hardly had a thought about Java, especially not about the assignment we're going to have finished and hand in next Friday :-) ... Don't think I'm all alone about that ... Now that I think of it though, the thought kind of worries me ... But it's not as if the assignment's too difficult anyway, as long as we get a full group (at least one person more) and get started soon enough ...
(Tries to shake off annoying feeling in the stomach region.)
Allowing multiple instances of Winamp allowed isn't for us habitual creatures who usually removes a previous playlist by selecting a bunch of songs, right-clicking and selecting "Play in Winamp" :-) ...
