Nostalgia is a great thing. Thanks to Niclas and some files he had on his computer last weekend I've been reviving my fond memories of Douglas Adams' creations during the last few days. Bet you didn't think text adventures could hold any interest nowadays (although I hope I'm wrong about you there :-)? Wrong! The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy game may be from before I'd even heard of a Commodore 64, but playing it using WinFrotz (with green text on black background of course!) is still great fun. Graphics you've got in your head is always a whole lot better than ones on the screen (I mean, just think about the difference in resolution for example!). Was too young to get into text adventures when they were modern, at least I can catch up some now this way ...
