30/10
Fortunately, they are all good things! :-) ... I guess the biggest and most definitive thing is that I've actually got myself an apartment and will be moving first thing next year. That should be pretty exciting to me in its own right, and it does feel like it'll be nice and all, but it's really overshadowed by other things. If I do my stuff properly, I might get my dream job. And a lot sooner than I ever imagined as well ... Life's sure exciting sometimes! And tonight I've spent what feels like eternities trying to purchase a Rex 6000 cheap. Seems the website wasn't quite capable of handling whatever customer rush turned up as their sale started at 20:00. For a while I was worried I might end up with tons of Rexes to pay for. The purchase process kept ending in an error message on what I suspected to be just a confirmation page after the purchase had gone through. Turned out they would send a confirmation email once things succeeded. That was a relief, so I kept trying. Same error all the time ... Frustration mounted. If they were out of stock already, couldn't they at least tell me? (I hope the fact that it worked now means they aren't, otherwise I'm getting all happy over nothing now ...) Finally I left the computer in frustration and went downstairs to play some stress memory with the rest of the family. Two sets of memory cards, all face up in a big pile on the table, and all players grabbing for pairs at once. Quite entertaining, quite stressful, and I never quite managed to win :-) ... No matter, it was still fun. Then I went up to the computer again. Decided to try once more. Well, I'll be ... It worked! And now that I've finally started playing it, I'm seriously into Crimson Skies! Wonderful atmosphere, great action, everything! But that will go on a page of its own some day ... Some more of the good/exciting stuff: Only one day before heading over to England and World of Amiga on a sort of extended weekend trip. All set to go (as soon as I've packed my bag)! I guess the only possible bad thing about all this is if it happens to push school a little too far from priority status ... But I'll be happy as long as I make it decently, and it doesn't feel too bad on that front ... Yet ... Muahahaha ... All the good stuff at once ... Hehe, let's hope there isn't a similar backlash to this ... | |||||
