3/7

Another week, another revolution of the hamster wheel ... No, that sounds too boring and monotone to be a good description. After all, work is getting easier and easier the farther into the summer I get. I had lots of time during which I could have gone on lunch, but I'd taken a late morning coffee break and eaten too much candy (see a pattern developing?) so I wasn't really all that hungry. Thought the sick-reported ordinary would show up too, but she didn't. She was supposed to work three hours or so today, so I was waiting for her to see how much more I'd need to do. Wouldn't have been much point for her to come if I'd already done everything that needed to be done, right? But she didn't even call, just don't get it ... Had I known that she wouldn't come, I could have been home a few hours earlier ... Now I spent time y time trying to get some more vegetables changed to their new codes in the online database instead. Currently, the online shop uses other codes than the rest of the store, so the people at fruit and vegetables have to change each price twice. Not for much longer though, now I think I've got all the relevant ones changed. Quite a lot of codes remain to be changed, but those are mostly stuff that I can't find in the database. And there isn't too much of a problem if I can't find and change codes for Halloween pumpkins and similar stuff ... Nice not to have to work double shifts in order to get time for things like this of course. Plus, I guess it looks good in other people's eyes if you're at work instead of at home ... Still, it doesn't feel as productive as preparing orders for people, even if it is important.

... yet, no matter how calm afternoons are, I still have to get up at five two days per week! That gets to me a bit when I think too much of it ...

Weather's about perfect right now. Sunny and pretty warm, but also a little bit of wind so that you don't get soaked from your afternoon bicycle ride. I have some demands on my weather, don't I :-) ?

Gee, all work and weather talk, am I becoming boring or what?

Been replaying Tiberian Sun a bit, mostly to see the briefing movies. Then I realized that would be much easier with a movie viewer ... Last time I looked, half a year ago, there weren't any available, with a bit of luck that might have changed by now. Revisited Westwood's site too, and downloaded a huge patch I probably didn't need at all ... The looks of the site have improved considerably (it also doesn't hang my computer anymore), but it's still not the kind of site you come back to more than necessary. Has the wrong effects/content balance ... All this makes me interested once again in getting Firestorm though. New original campaigns with new original briefings, that's stuff I want! First time through is always best ...
