First entry using my own computer, the keyboard has a much softer feeling to it than the one to the P-450 has ...

This morning the world was hidden by the thickest fog I've ever seen. Even traffic lights and such had to get pretty close to be visible. And when I got to work there was a small drop of water on every single hair on my arms, they looked like they'd turned white ...

Ran a GLquake timedemo. Satisfies the inner geek seeing it run at 260 fps ... In general, I really enjoy seeing how games act with newer hardware. Quake 3 was delighted of course, but the most notable improvment so far was probably that of Ground Control. Suddenly, there was a whole new level of detail on everything, and on the ground textures especially.

Back after a round of mini golf. Mom held a sure first place until the last hole but one, where she missed fatally. We ended up sharing the same score after I nailed the last hole (one stroke, called nailing in Swedish at least). Moving over/installing stuff I like/need. Did invest in a network card today, even though I might get another one when I move to an own apartment, after all they are the sort of things that are always good to have ... Have moved the cradle for the Palm and all related software, all my personal folders, updated a few drivers as well as installed IE 5 and some other bits and pieces. Think I've got the most important stuff covered by now. Turned off all Windows sounds too of course. What remains, as I can think of right now, is moving the CD burner, the joystick and get anything important from the P-133. Any other driver or Windows updates can wait until this computer has an internet connection of its own.

Hmmm, installing those Nvidia reference drivers took away lots of refresh rate and resolution options ... Wonder how I get them back easiest? Those reference drivers gave lots of other options I don't want to lose ... Maybe newer ELSA drivers do the same?
