The world was heavily fogged this morning, the same day that Gustav II Adolf was killed in the fog at Lützen 368 years ago. I got away with just a lot of moisture on my glasses ... The air has a winter edge to it, no doubt about in what part of the year we are anymore. New course began today, databases and data modeling. No rest for a poor student, next examination in five weeks (counting this one). At least five weeks is better than nothing, no need to start intensive studies yet ... Did at least read the three chapters for today. Was pretty tired though, and they felt genuinely uninteresting so I'm not sure if anything stuck. Oh well, it was just an introduction anyway ...
Beware of uninstalling Winamp! It deletes its directory in the process, meaning bye-bye to all your skins and plugins unless you backed them up first. I didn't when I was going to update and install on another partition at the same time ... Luckily I had the plugins on the Dell, but not the cool skins I got the last time I had access to Robert's internet connection. Got to dig up some new ones I guess, found a couple yesterday, but they weren't as good as the old ones (classic phrase - beware!).
Have got a short inquiry to fill out about the programming course, never been much for writing stuff like that. Too general questions, I mean "what has been good/bad about the course?" and "What have you done about it?", sigh ... Tried to study more perhaps? Not that I really have, don't dare think too much about the answer to the last question: "How many hours (including scheduled time) have you spent on the course?". Whatever answer I may reach there it's probably not even close to what they expect from a good student :-) ...
