Was at Burger King yesterday and sat for a long time just looking at people passing by outside. It's interesting how most people seem to resemble someone you know in one way or the other. So many resemblances, and still there are no exact copies ... Also observed a strange ritual between a Burger King employee and some other guy. First, I thought they were going to do some kind of interview for a job or something. But then they started writing way too much on the papers they had, and also passed it back and forth, taking turns writing. They talked very little all throughout too. The guy had an envelope from the unemployment office next door too, but that doesn't make things any clearer (I mean, you don't take turns writing some kind of recommendation letter, do you?). I just don't get it, but then again, maybe that's not the point ...

Then I walked out and happened to stroll into an Expert store some time later. They were having a "reconstruction discount" going on. Perhaps Mayday: Conflict Earth wasn't included, but I still feel it's a bit hefty to demand SEK 459 for that game ... Hell, they tried to sell Battlezone for SEK 139 too, they ought to be giving that away by now ... Why can't stores like that have at least someone with some kind of grip on computer game pricing? Perhaps because most people buying a game in one of those stores has no picture of game prices anyway ... So, whatever you do, remember to check prices before you buy!

Tomorrow school ends for summer for the siblings. This half year has really flown away faster than a greased concorde. I think my mind has stayed behind somewhere in March or April, the idea of summer holidays starting now is pretty strange. And to think my birthday is less than a month away, man ... My period of unemployment must have ruined my sense of approaching free time :-) ...

Actually played Freespace a bit more yesterday. It's still a good game, and it still doesn't appeal to me as much as Wing Commander. And there still isn't any appearant reason for that lack of appeal. It looks good, is easy to play and missions are quicker than in the WCs. Perhaps it's the lack of characters or attitude, the lack of Kilrathi and fellow wingmen chatter. Maybe it'll grow on me with time ... Wonder how many missions there are? Should check some of those links in the readme for information ...

Listening to Kent's Isola for the first time in a long while. A lot of difference between it and Hagnesta Hill for sure (most not to HH's advantage I can tell you ...). Isola touches in a whole different way, just like Verkligen did, and it's so much easier to pick up too. Maybe HH is just too held back, or perhaps just calmed down (Jocke Berg is singing about being older and lacking the glow ...) ... Repeating myself as usual am I? Don't worry, I'm stopping now.
