My week of holiday may be lost, Katarina told me today she'll only work half-time next week too, sniffle ... Will have to wait until tomorrow to know for sure though, so there's still hope. No hope for the weather though, it's rain and rain again. This would be a perfect day for curling up in front of a fire with a warm blanket and a good book (or a laptop :-), something I could have done had I got this week free, as the original plan was ... Walking around the whole day in wet shoes and socks isn't too nice ... To top it all off, I thought for about an hour that I'd lost my glasses on my way home. When it rains I keep them in the inner pocket of my jacket, and when I couldn't find them after I got home I almost assumed they'd fallen out on the way home. It's happened before with other objects. So, I walked around for a while, getting angrier and angrier with myself for not being more careful or something. I was about to call someone at Parkhallen and ask them to see if I'd possibly dropped the glasses around the bicycle park when I happened to look up toward the top of our hall cupboard. Guess what was lying there ... Quite a relief, both to mind and eye ...

Lots of complaining in this entry, I don't really feel all that grumpy, it's just what it looks like when I start writing down things from the past day like this ... Lost holiday chances was probably a bad way to start too. Let's try for some positive thoughts:

I've found my glasses, which I thought could be irretrievably lost.

I came home wet and cold. Now I'm dry, warm and sitting in front of a nice computer.

Bicycle riding in the rain seems to be good for my imagination, when going to work this morning I came up with some pretty nice and inspiring game-related ideas. Reading a Gamespot article on the now dead game Amen probably helped too. Games that never make it to release are the best, you get to hear about all those great things and are mercifully saved from any bad ones ...

I'm not using my Palm as extensively as I should, like for noting the game ideas above and other stuff that pop up in my head every now and then. In related news, I should investigate prices for suitable rechargable batteries ... Not a positive note this, I know, but it's a thought that crossed my mind, and I like to try and write those down ...

I wonder how people would react if I'd come to work, and work, with my toy pig in the breastpocket? Can't imagine anyone taking offense by that :-) ...
