Got a winter kind of feeling, the positive Christmaslike type. Think the reason is that there's still a hint of gingerbread cake in the house from yesterday. I certainly don't mind that ... Hope to see a world covered in snow every time I look out the window, but the grey November weather with temperatures well above zero persists. Oh well, at least it's easier to get by on bike in this weather, can't have both the feeling and the weather to match it at the same time. Something else would have to go really bad to even that up ...
There was an article in today's Allehanda about buying computers and what to think of. Have some doubts about it. For example, to an average first time buyer, is it really worth spending a few hundred crowns extra on cordless keyboard and mouse? If you're on a budget, won't you rather put that money into some other part of the system? And what about graphics memory, is 8 Mb really the standard today? Thought it was more like 32 ... Hope that article doesn't make someone swap a 32 Mb card for an 8 Mb one. For an article on buying something, it was also quite lacking in advice, more of just an explanation of terms. Well, there was a note on every type of component about what is considered standard today but hey, amount of memory is not everything for the performance of a graphics board ... They did note graphics boards were a dangerous trap to a first time buyer, but they didn't say much else, think they should have. Also, I think they could at least have mentioned a network card is good for connecting computers, not just for gaining broadband access to internet ...
Stuck on MDK right now, can't figure out how to beat that monster ... Got to think of something better ...
Hmmm, mp3 music goes to all speakers, but CD doesn't ... Got to check those sound card settings ...
How about this then, a whole entry without a single smiley!
