Finally, I've got a better URL for this site! Just type in http://come.to/bjoreman the next time and forget all those tildes and numbers! And yes, you can close that pop-up window once the site is loaded, it won't return.
I've decided to try and read at least 50 pages of my C++ book every day, in order to get through it and get an overview of what's in it. Then, I'll go through it again, this time trying out all the exercises and getting more in depth with things. I wonder how many programmers-in-training who do a roguelike game as one of their first projects? Personally, I got the thought pretty fast, it somehow feels like a very suitable game type. Has something to do with the general lack of graphics and plentiness of numbers and stats I guess ...
Writing this text while listening to old Amiga game music. Those were the days ... Well, in many ways, they probably weren't, but you see what I mean anyway. Nostalgia seems to be getting popular among gamers, Gamespot's latest feature is an article about, of all subjects, Duke Nukem's history. The majority of the pages just list all Duke games and expansions, without really giving any opinions about them either. It isn't really interesting, yet you (or I anyway) read it. More interesting is that there may or may not be a Duke movie coming someday. The interesting thing about a movie would be to see how Duke would act. After all, as a character, he is completely unlikable (just think about his vaules in life ...). I can't see how a movie could avoid being chainsawed along the ankles by any kind of civilized critics. Still, for us with a better view and background on the subject it'll probably work ... I think my point has either come trough or gotten lost along the way by now, so I'd better stop now ...
