Days seem to slip away like ... well, something slippery. But nothing ever happens. No, nothing ever happens. And I wonder ... Ahem, at least I went to town and finally got those university application forms today. The last time I asked for them they were on their way, but had somehow got stuck in Gnesta of all places ... Anyway, now I've got them, and I've even got some ideas on how to put them to use (read: what to apply for) ... Wow, decisiveness! Hint: computers (really narrows things down, right?) ...
If there's something I've come to realize I'm bad at it's focusing. I find myself thinking about a bunch of things I ought/want to do. Then, decide on one thing to do, but only until I run into some kind of obstacle. Then, I put that project down and start on something else. Actually, this site is kind of a problem too, as I tend to fill it up with texts instead of doing better things (it's also very much like me that I don't fill it with those ideas I have on my list, but with gibberish such as this ...). However, I think I'm slowly improving in those departments. I've managed to focus so much that I even had a completely game-free day, studying C++ and doing some HTML-coding instead. Hope I can keep some of that spirit up, even if I resorted to games again soon enough. Gustav and one of his friends happened to play Warcraft II over our null-modem, so I had to play a bit too between matches, and a bit more today too ... You'd think it'd feel more dated than it actually does, lacking decent pathfinding, AI and more, but good gameplay never gets old. Neither does great and funny sound effects, come to think of it ("We're ready master! I'm not ready!").
Going to try out a new FTP program when uploading this. My old one's CuteFTP v1.4 Final Beta 4 from 1995 and doesn't support drag-selection nor directory uploading, so I felt an upgrade might be nice ...
