Got this mail the other day telling me I, or rather this site, had been included in the directory of thearcades.com, a Yahoo-like directory with more of a game emphasis. Haven't been able to find my site in the directory though, anyone else who does? They suggested that I could use the button below to link to them as well, but I dunno about that ... It's a big trend break for me to include graphics in a manner as care-free as that. Still, the feeling of having been chosen for something is rather nice, and at least I've optimized the image itself to about half the original size without any visible losses.
My first week of actual, real life work is coming to an end, and things still feel really good. There sure isn't any risk I'll run out of work or sit around collecting dust in some corner. I've got some influence and responsibility over things, nothing like that to keep you motivated, right? And even after just a week I feel I'm getting hang of routines pretty good. Remains to be seen if I'll have to be there at six in the morning on Wednesdays, so far I've shortened my morning ritual to half an hour to be there at seven each morning and still get some sleep and think it works. Not being too much of a morning type I see five as a pretty rough time to get up, and would definitely prefer late Tuesday afternoons to early Wednesday mornings. However, being who I am and all stuff like that, I haven't learnt too many names yet (what's so wrong with nametags I ask?) ...
Today I spent the afternoon cleaning up the online store, freeing it from lots of long gone articles. On Tuesday I printed out the whole list of articles in the online store and handed out so that people could cross out anything obsolete. Think I've still got about half of it to get back, so there's more removal work coming. Should get someone to fix those silly asp bugs before that though, they didn't exactly speed up the job ... Then there's the really big project: getting the registration of new online customers going again. I'll just say that the folder is bursting, and each interested person is supposed to get a letter sent to him/her ...
22:05 the watch says (or displays, it doesn't do voice synthesis (luckily ...)). And I've got to get up a six tomorrow too ... Tonight is a lot cooler than the last few nights too, it's really been summer around here for some time, so I've got good nice for a really good night's sleep. Will have to write more tomorrow then I suppose. Well, good night!
