21/12
It's the day before the last examination of the year (and the term, even if the term lasts a few weeks into next year), so here I am with a big bag of candy and a pile of books by my side. Not sure if I'll open those books though (the candy bag is a different story altogether :-), it's said you don't learn anything new the day before the test ... My knowledge of the subject, system development, feels dangeroulsy insubstantial. Like there are thin flakes of knowledge with large expanses of dark water inbetween. A bit of an exaggeration perhaps, but things still feel quite unsafe. Not being able to bring any books or notes is the real problem, examination questions may be more or less straight out of the book instead of testing your knowledge of how to apply what you've read in the books. Removes a lot of feeling of security to ban bringing the sources of all relevant knowledge to the examination ... Have got Henrik hooked on Half-Life to make myself feel better :-) ...
