Ten days? Time flies, eh? Account of recent activities follow ...

Most importantly, Monday to Wednesday was spent at fellow Snarl-up Software member Robert's place, and mostly in front of different screens ... The event gave me the opportunity to access Robert's wonderful high bandwidth internet connection (man, I want one of those too!). It sure is different from the old 56k modem at home. I think it's the fact that everything seems to download at least at 40kb per second and doesn't slow down if you donwload more stuff at the same time that does it. Like getting around eleven megs of Windows updates and the Diablo II trailer at the same time without either seeming to care one bit about the other, sigh ... Also got some old goldies of adventure games, a lot of UT stuff and some other junk to waste space on my hard drive, so now I wish more than usual that I had a CD burner to get rid of some of it without having to delete it.

Not sure I've caught up with all the lost sleep yet, even though I slept for about twenty hours straight afterwards and have slept normal amounts afterwards. Busted my old record at keeping awake (from 6 to 7/11 1998) with a wide margin, and I don't think I'll ever want to try and break that record ... When you get beyond the forty hour line things start to feel less and less motivated and more and more pointless ... When I got home and had had lunch, I made the mistake of lying down on my bed waiting for the dessert. That dessert is a really hazy memory, I wasn't sure the next day if I had just dreamt it or not, and I nearly got angry at mom for joking with me about how tired I looked. At least now I know how feeling really tired is, so I won't complain about feeling tired when I'm not even close ...

Traditional Easter visit to relatives today. Only difference from the usual travel-eat-walk-eat-eat-some-more-travel-home-again-routine was that I drove. Okay, I may like to drive after all, especially on the highway ... Strange how average travel speed always seems to be 10km/h above maximum allowed speed though ... Otherwise, Easter has been the usual eating-too-much-candy-in-too-little-time-and-painting-eggs-at-lunch-affair. Oh, and I saw Rain Man yesterday, a really nice movie!

End of transmission ...
