Still a bit too far between updates here, methinks. Why don't I sit down and update as often as before? Hey, seems I'm falling into the trap of starting every new diary entry with complaining about my own update frequency too, not good ...
Hmmm, seems to be time to split up the thought-menus a bit more, there are a few things I should add there for completeness and the menus are growing pretty long. Don't want to have more ugly scroll bars than necessary in lower resolutions ... Should do something about the growth of the root folder too, it's time thoughts got a folder of their own. At least the new ones, the amount of work required to move all old pages into a new folder would be killing ...
Season final of Voxpop (a music video show where the viewers vote for their favourites) was yesterday, with the usual selection of the season's video. They also showed clips of all videos which competed in the season final of 1996. That year, if I remember correctly, the videos for the season final were chosen from the whole year, and by the people behind the show instead of by the viewers. The difference was striking, all the songs were actually good! Seems the quality and variation increases when the mainstreamed masses don't get too much influence of the video selection. Or perhaps the musical variation has just decreased over the last few years? At least in 1996 there weren't as many cloned boy bands around as now ...
The parents want me to go instead of them to my brother's class' "gourmet" dinner tonight. Mom's going away on some course or whatever and dad's got himself a pretty good cold or something, so unless he suddenly gets a whole lot better none of them is going to be able to go. I hear Gustav's going to do a talk on the subject of potatoes, that could be entertaining, and it would be interesting to have food he's been involved in cooking. Still, I wonder how much fun it can possibly be to spend an evening with parents of people you, for the most part, don't know at all. We'll see what happens ... Nope, didn't go after all. Hope Gustav doesn't feel too disappointed.
I'd like a silencer for our computer's fan. It's the kind of sound you find pretty annoying once you start thinking about it, and things would probably feel a lot calmer if you could get rid of it. I know about that kind of sounds because we have a pretty noisy fan in our bathroom. Because ventilation is pretty bad in there after we added to our house we're supposed to have that fan going when using the shower. Well, once or twice I've forgotten to turn it on, and it's suddenly a whole different feeling in the room. Damn, now I sit here listening to the fan all the time! That's the problem with writing about annoying things in the immediate surroundings, you may start to notice them even more than before ... Wonder if we'd get a meltdown on our hands if we disconnected that thing? Maybe I should just put on some music or something before I ruin the whole machine :-) ...
