Gustav is going to buy a calculator for his further studies. He's thinking about a TI-83 and wanted to have a look at my old calculator. So, I dug up my TI-82 graph calculator and had a look at it. What struck me was that a Palm with the right software installed would just blow those calculators away. Just having two megabytes of memory instead of 32 kilobytes, and a much nicer interface. Plus it makes the TI-s look like bricks ... Costing about twice as much is a minor issue, right (it's good for so much more than a calculator too after all)?
Four days before school "starts" again for me. Just "starts" since there won't be anything but partying and getting to know people for the first two weeks ... Can live with that ...
Is there anything useful you can do with a surplus, and cheap, soundcard? Yeah, I bought a new one this Friday. Thought I was going to buy a Soundblaster Live, but they were all sold so I got a Maxi Sound Fortissimo instead. Cost forty-six crowns more but supported A3D and some other stuff too. Tell myself it was a good buy too, but I always get a bit put off when I don't get what I meant to initially ... Also a bit sceptic against computer parts more than a year old. Almost bought a set of four speakers with subwoofer too, but they looked so small and cheap ...
Feeling damn unproductive here, feels like I ought to be doing something useful instead of just sitting here listening to Teddybears ... I want to learn something (been away from school for too long eh?)! Bonnie is studying all the time, and her autumn term hasn't started yet either ... Don't think I'd survive a far-east school, so it's a good thing I'm studying over here ... Heck, even Gustav is doing homework today, on a Sunday. Is everyone studying but me? Got to improve in the immediate future or there could be serious trouble with university work ... Just increases the feeling there's something at least remotely important I could be doing ...
