Was struck as I rode my humble bike home by the complete lack of any kind of HUD functions ... Am I game damaged or what :-) ? Imagine a game so realistic you wouldn't need any indocators at all and still feel as "in control" as usual. Shouldn't be impossible really, especially with today's toys like surround sound and force feedback ... Won't Black and White be HUD-less? Think so, that'll really be something (as if it wasn't otherwise) ...
There's quite some clicking involved in getting to diary entries nowadays, not all that good ...
Got blessed with two more weeks of work, significantly shortening my expected "holiday". Still got birthday off though, that feels good. Noted my parent's difference in reactions, it's a bit interesting to see. Mom was along the lines of "too bad you don't get as much holiday", dad's more on to "well, you'll make more money this way". Bit of a difference in what you see first and prioritize perhaps? I agree with both of them though ... Shouldn't be too hard weeks though, middle of holiday season and the person I'm a substitute for working three hours per day. With any luck I'll even be able to start a little bit later in the mornings, that's the heaviest things with work IMHO, two really early mornings every week. And I'm no real morning person to start with, so there's a bit of a compatibility problem there :-) ... But enough of that, tomorrow's Saturday ...
