The age of rain seems past, the sky is blue once again! Bet it won't last for long, sure there is some week-long rain sneaking up on us from some corner of the sky we forget to look at ...
Looking at more computer options, Dell is definitely out of the question (if it ever was in). Seems there is some active competition between different shops in town, two of them have exactly the same price for two almost identical systems. The question is now more or less PIII or Athlon, unless some other option turns up out of the blue. Edgar seems to favour the Athlon, and he knows what he's talking about ... The other thing that could influence my choice is how much and to what cost I can change the offered packages. More processor is never wrong, but I'd especially like a newer graphics board than the TNT 2 everyone is putting in their offers. Costs more and prices tend to drop at good speeds but hey, need is in the mind of the buyer ... I don't like to see myself as someone who just buys a complete package without any modifications, feels too easy, and I want as much improvement from the last computer as possible. Well, enough tech-rant ...
Got beautiful music by mail from Hong Kong today, My Life Story. Bit of a lot, sounds great already ...
My uncle's got one of those mobiles that make things like a Palm pretty much redundant, at least as address book. The people who comes up with those things have really made an effort, I could live with one too ... Still, there are lots of advantages with a Palm. Just think of it as a mobile with all possible extra functions, a really large screen, and no-one will ever call you at the worst possible time. Nice feature when you think of it that way, eh? And just think about the money you save on phone bills ...
Tripled the Internet Explorer cache size, want old pages to remain longer ... Still, I find it a bit nagging to give away another 200 megabytes of harddrive just like that ...
