Tinnitus

No, it's not too bad, but as soon as the enviroment goes quiet enough it's very clearly there. Have always been able to hear little sounds if things have been really quiet, but I suddenly started noticing it a lot more during the autumn of 2000. A ringing, test-picture-like sound in my right ear that won't go away. It does feel lower or louder different days though, so I've had the thought or feeling that it could get better if I "gave the ear rest" for some time. Have also considered things such as the fact that the sound of the computer fan drowns it out perfectly and that the fan sound is always right of me when I'm at this computer. Feels like my right ear is more sensitive than the left, it feels sore or whatever you like to call it easier than the left. Connecting it with the fan sound does make me even more annoyed by that noise anyway, more curious about silent cooling ...

Try not to let myself bother about it too much though, that just makes things worse. No good to let yourself be annoyed when lying in bed late at night, the sound gets louder and the ear sorer ... Actually feeling that it sounds different from time to time is a definite plus, makes you feel it might actually go away or something one day ...

Maybe it's about time to invest in some earplugs ...
