Liberator

Swedish ska music, the best one I've ever heard (about the only one too .. ;-). Worldwide Delivery was one of those rare albums which stick just about immediately, for good reasons. It sounds good and makes you happy, and that goes for all the songs. No song seems put in just to fill out some empty space, they all fit in nicely. Making you feel good doesn't mean they're not serious either. There is more of unlucky, rather than sugar-swet, love and songs on death and growing up. Great in all aspects, what more can you ask for? Well, Daniel Mattisson needs to practise his English, it sounds way too Swedish. Good thing he only sings on one track, the "normal" lead singer Robert Ylippä, IMHO has a really cool English. Still, be sure to listen good right at the end of Thunder and lightning, there's a really short and quiet "hello" to everyone there ... Things like that mean a few bonus points in my book.

I'm not sure why I don't get more ska music, at least something else by Liberator, it's so nice to listen to. I just don't buy enough records, that's the whole problem ... I should be more like my brother in that way, he buys quite a lot and almost exclusively non-hitlist music. It's cooler to find your own music rather than buy Absolute Music all the time ... Getting off the subject here :-) ...

The Worldwide Delivery CD itself looks great, in a cartoonish way, too, and the booklet pictures are clever and nice. Give it a few listenings, you won't regret it!
