Family

Here's a short presentation of my family, friends follow below. This page is, incidentally, a violation of Sweden's new computer law. Sometimes life has its little bonuses ...

Gustav Björeman

Born 1984, ex-downloader of countless share-/freeware games and in possesion of the same strange humour as the rest of us. It seems our father is to blame for this ... Also a talented sleeper and one half of the Pock staff (see music links). Slowly working his way backwards through R.E.M's entire production as well as that of other more obscure Swedish bands. Often uses his unmade bed as extra storage space, since his desk is already overloaded. Gustav is a great gift buyer, he has the ability to often find things you had no idea you wanted, yet like very much to get. Homepage here.

Anna Björeman

Born 1990, and still not too troublesome with demands on being allowed to use the computer.

Eva Björeman

The mother, born looong ago ;-) ... Works as teacher and frequently puts the phone off the hook when doing something important, like watching the news ... Even more understanding and open than you'd really expect from a mother, and I'm not being ironic or anything about that. Involontarily takes after other people's dialects and also used to watch Southpark.

Mats Björeman

Well, who's left? The father, demonstrably the supplier of the humour genes for the family. Works, quite a lot actually, as a doctor, and likes model railways, orienteering, gardening and other activities he'd like to have more time for.

Other great people ...

Yes, I do have some friends too. Here's a selection.

Martin Gunnarsson

The founder of Snarl-up Software. One of the great random meetings of life, if it wasn't for Andreas Jansson (see below), who wasn't originally supposed to be in my class, I probably never would have met Martin. Fortunately, I did. This guy posesses the same, somewhat strange, humour as I. He is able to say things in very entertaining ways. This has gone to the extent of me sometimes having troubles keeping a straight face when just meeting him in the corridor. Martin once invented the glass, but soon realised he was too late. One of his classmates described me as Martin's evil twin brother, I'm still not sure if that's good or bad ... He sort of blames me for making him create his homepage, currently to be found here, and it does have some resemblance. It's quick to load, has nice and simple layout and is often very funny to read. Be aware that it is in Swedish.

Andreas Jansson

Former classmate, member of Snarl-up Software and in a way a somewhat more sane version of Martin, certainly easier to talk to without risking a laughing breakdown ... That is not a bad thing, believe me. If it wasn't for Andreas, I probably wouldn't have met Martin at all, and life would have been a lot more grey ... Thanks pal! Andreas also knows important things such as the square root of five and the German word for pharmacist (long version) by heart.

Johan Amilon

My oldest friend. Our mothers met before we were born, and it was probably not long after birth we met for the first time. Most of the time we've been living in the same street, when my family moved they soon moved too, and to the same street (I don't know if it was an incident or not). Apart from classes 7 to 9, we've been in the same class all the time too. Johan has a tendency to get his homework done, even in German, can't imagine how he makes it ...

Petter Samuelsson

Classmate during my first nine years of school. Now studies in Luleå, far up north ... Much better at starting things up than finishing them (almost even more so than I ... . Has most of Terry Pratchett's books, so I generally borrow them from him when there are new ones.

Erik Carlsson

Another former classmate. A talent in any subject that has something to do with mathematics and logical thinking. The best chess player in school, and also beats the rest of the class in most card games. A game of Worms 2 with Erik involved is a great experience, including lots of Ninja ropes and strategic talking to opponents.

Tomasz Wysocki

Another former classmate. Polish techno listener and creator of the Nv3b memorial page. Tomasz is also a small-scale importer of Polish bread and finds German quite easy to learn. Can't imgaine what Polish must be like to give someone that impression of German ... Oh, yes, and I'm looking forward to his book.

Edgar Binder

Romanian living in Germany, member of Snarl-up Software and Starcraft expert (last report was beating seven computer opponents and completing Broodwar in a few days, two I think. Sounds quite good to me ...). Most important, though, he's a great programmer. He exceeds all expectations on a regular basis, like creating the fourth best compression algorithm in the world and stuff like that. He's also created the best pathfinding routine possible and will do the programming for our game Tremor.

Ellen Cheung

Hong Kong girl with a sleeping problem making her stay up late at night chatting with stupid people on the other side of the planet. Ellen is probably responsible for quite a large percentage of my online time, we have some very interesting conversations, often lasting until ICQ decides to spontaneously close down our chatting session. And I have to admit I don't mind that at all (not until the phone bill kills me at least) ...

Addition on March 23, 2000.
The above isn't as true anymore. Ellen is killing herself studying to become a nurse and has wisely lowered her time spent on chatting with dubious existences in favour of more relevant activities ... Addition on January 27, 2001.
We've finally picked up contact by email again. Feels so good that I actually got around to it, really annoyed me that I didn't for so long. Clearly shows the dangers of basing friendships mainly on ICQ.

Bonnie Chan

My latest and greatest Hong Kong friend and email-pal. Watches Polish independent movies, and that's just a start (was the start of my contact with her too incidentally :-) ... Also disliker of ICQ, although I think that depends on mood and other clients, frequent buyer of music and mail corresponder. Her emails are always eagerly awaited, they're the best! The rest of the world doesn't know what it's missing out on ... Homepage here.

Anna Olsson

Fellow student from a place that can't be called a city (her words, not mine :-). Drinks tea which tastes a lot better than it smells and can look very cute standing at the end of long lines of people. Also kind of a candle fanatic.

Henrik Fredriksson

Fellow computer and information science student. His girlfriend tried to convince me Henrik and I were twins. I still feel sceptic though, considering things like the difference in age, looks and parents. Stupid sense of humour doesn't qualify as proof of relation, nor does interest in collectible card games or computer games (may be an old-fashioned way of looking at it, but I still do). Still, we do get along pretty well :-) ...

Lina Thorsell

Or Torsell, depending on if you've got to be bureaucratic or not. Lina and I did the realization part of the Informatics A course together, and it seems it worked pretty well after all ... Also plays Re-Volt (but tries to keep then intake down) and didn't think The Neverhood was anything for her (the people you meet ... :-) ...

Jon Hägglund

Member four of the little student group otherwise consisting of me, Henrik and Lina. Generously lets his apartment up as space for our common schoolwork efforts. Jon runs some risk of becoming a convenient film library, especially since he motivates me by telling me to borrow all the films I should have seen as soon as he realizes I haven't seen them :-) ... Also listens to parts of the music spectra I've never felt any greater understanding or interest for.

Kristofer Gisslén

Return to the mainpage.

Maria Svensson

Classmate on the spring 2002 web technology course, and the second half of my project group. Nice, fun to work with and better at getting things started/done than I am. Felt like I couldn't have got a better person to work with, we really seemed to be on the same level and complement eachother well.
