Ever heard of the Discworld? The Nomes? If not, you should try to find out as soon as possible. This man, who occasionally gets accused of literature, has produced incredible amounts
of incredibly funny fiction. The Discworld, a world on the back of four elephants on the back of a giant turtle (although some priests tries to fool people into thinking that the world is round),
is a place of wizards, witches, trolls, dwarves and other assorted fantasy equipment. Don't let yourself be fooled by this, the Discworld is not standard fantasy! This is something
much better, and much funnier. Few writers can describe things the way Pratchett does. "The night was as dark as the inside of a cat." Who else would write like that? Part of the greatness of Pratchett is also that the plots aren't based around
stupid jokes, the humour is just a bonus. The story would get along without them, and it would work, but it wouldn't be the same of course.
Another great bonus is the fact that Pratchett produces lots of Discworld novels all the time, there are at least twenty at the time I write this.
