Dreams

Dreams are interesting. They clearly must have something to do with our lives, the questions are exactly how they influcence us and why they turn up. Perhaps it's just the side-product of the brain de-fragmenting itself ... It's interesting to try and figure out the meaning of a dream, regardless of what causes them. It's a pity we can't remember more of our dreams ... They are too interesting to waste, and they can give all kinds of cool ideas. Very few things seem as cool as those you see in a dream.

I have some "dream-themes" which seems to come back quite often. One of the more common is the one about being too late, and/or having a schedule which is strange or impossible to follow. This dream clearly has something to do with real life, especially since it sometimes includes buses and forgotten schoolbooks. Something about the fear of losing control in some way ... One interesting point is that when I am late or have forgotten things, I'm usually not nervous at all. After all, there's not much to do about it once you are late. Perhaps it gets pushed into my subconscious, to come back and haunt me at night ;-) ...

Daydreams are interesting too, things you imagine or think a lot about. I like them, but it seems they seldom come true. If you generalize that thought a bit, you come to the conclusion that none of my daydreams will come true. It may sound disappointing, but it also means that my future will be like nothing I can imagine, and that's quite interesting ...

It seems I was right in some way about that the above dreams had some connection to real life. The being late dreams have markedly decreased in frequency during this extended summer holiday. The recent quality increase of my dreams can be studied in the latest diary entries.
