The Chonicles of the WarAct I - Once Upon a Time ...It all started on February 25th, 1999. On vacation in Grövelsjön, I sent a postcard to Martin. Incidentally, Martin has a postcard page in his website, and he mentioned my card there. What he wrote was that he thought there were quite a lot of words written on the card, 95 to be exact, and that he thought that was quite cool. And there it could have ended ... Act II - Provocation... but then I went to Borlänge during the summer holiday. That in itself wasn't too revolutionary, the thing was that I sent a postcard to Martin from there. When I was looking for a fitting card, I saw one which was a bit larger than the standard ones, and remembered what Martin had written on his postcard page ... So, on July 29th, I posted a card with 444 words written on it. And that's when things really started to heat up ... Act III - The Counterstrike![]() ![]() On August 16th, the counterstrike came. Surprise and bewilderment were followed by a decision and desire to beat that record seriously the next time I went somewhere. Pressure was mounting ... During that period, I realized it wasn't all that hard to write mirrored text, and the idea of writing the coming card mirrored kept me laughing all the way home ... As christmas was approaching firing range, I decided to buy a card and get going as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there weren't any of cards of the really large kind available at home, so I settled for a more average-sized one. Apart from the fact that a few j's are written the wrong way, I'm really pleased with the result: 868 words, written mirrored from bottom right to top left and covering just about all available space. Now, I'm just waiting for the capitulation and armistice ...
