Matrix DVD Thoughts
Thought threads coming up in relation to seeing the Matrix on DVD ...
1: DVD is nice! Additional content is nice! Seeing stuff like how things were done and read interviews with involved people after you've seen the film is exactly what I want. Stuff that prolongs the feeling of a good film and can make you want to see it again. Would have liked full-length commentary of course, but I suppose you can't have everything you want ...
Think I might start jumping back and forth looking for all those things noted on movie-mistakes.com soon ... Somehow this feels like a film that's worth seeing many times (yeah, I know I'm not exactly the only person in the world feeling like this ...), there is something to it. Attention to detail, cool camera views and lots of style, details and action ... Plus the feeling that there's a lot of thought behind it.
Am still a bit sceptical to future se- or prequels, but knowing the idea is from the Wachowski brothers themselves and was there before the film was a huge hit makes me feel more positive ...
