Digger

Now, this is nostalgia! Digger was released in 1983 by Windmill software. You control a small tractor tunneling through the earth for emeralds while being chased by monsters (Hobbins and Nobbins in this case). I played it on a computer portable by that time's standards when I was seven or something. It was in two colours, black and orange and had wonderfully blipping sounds and music. Then some other person needed that computer, and digger dug itself a place somewhere in the darkest and most distant parts of my mind, waiting to be recalled some day.

Well, that day came a few days ago! My brother (of course) found Digger on a page full of free games. It was the original, only "remastered" with some extra features to run on todays computers and use some VGA graphics if you want it to. I didn't, the old CGA gfx is much cleaner, and more nostalgic of course. And it sounded just like I remembered it ... Digger remastered has some fans around the world, as well as its own website on http://www.digger.org. That site finally cracked my impression that one of my friends had a high high score somewhere between 20 ,000 and 30,000. Highest registered score on that site is 903,750 ... That's a lot of extra lives ...
